Code Blue Companion · last updated 6 October 2026

Code Blue Companion (“the app”) is a paediatric resuscitation decision-support tool provided by PediaOS (Dr Vignesh N) (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used and stored, and your choices. By using the app or the website at cbc.pediaos.com, you agree to this policy.

No patient-identifying information. The app is designed so that it does not ask for or store any patient name, hospital number, or other patient identifier. Please do not enter patient-identifying details into any field.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we collect:

Emergency mode uses an anonymous session and collects no email or personal login details.

How we use it

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Where it is stored

Account details and code logs are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google. Data may be processed on Google’s servers, which can be located outside your country. Google acts as our data processor; see Google’s privacy terms at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Retention

The app keeps the most recent 100 code logs per account; older logs are automatically deleted.

Deleting your Code Blue Companion account and data

To delete your Code Blue Companion account and data:

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Tap the ☁ account panel icon (top-right).
  3. Tap “Delete my account & saved logs” and confirm.

This immediately and permanently deletes your login (email + password) and every code log you have saved, and cannot be undone. No data is retained afterwards. You may also email us to request deletion instead (see Contact below).

On-device storage

The app stores small items on your device (such as your theme choice, whether you have seen the guide, and an offline copy of the app so it works without internet). This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app (Google Firebase). Your institution’s administrator can see the code logs saved under your institution’s login. We may disclose information if required by law.

Children

The app is a professional tool intended for clinicians. It is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

Your choices

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
